It’s 28 months since the last total solar eclipse on Earth, and 27 years since mainland Europe saw a total solar eclipse. Finally, on August 12th, it is happening again.
We’re sending two teams to Spain—one to León and one to Mallorca—to capture the sunset solar eclipse for our live stream.
Here at timeanddate HQ in Stavanger, Norway, that means packing time: Three telescopes and a mobile studio with all the trimmings are meticulously being weighed and logged for the journey.
In the next two weeks, we’ll pore over weather reports, timings, tests, and scripts while the butterflies build up toward our live event.
